A coating system is designed to provide aesthetic enhancement and protection to a surface. The best situation in which to specify a coating is where the concrete substrate is in good condition with minimal spalling or cracking. Because a coating is dense, seamless and has low porosity, it is easy to clean and maintain. Coatings are available in a variety of colors, allowing you to match your floor's new look to the rest of the environment.
Our epoxy coatings come in two applications: thin film (5-9 mils) and high-build (10-25 mils). The thicker, high-build systems fill in small imperfections in a floor's surface, so there is some leveling. The coatings are generally recommended for assembly and light manufacturing areas, aircraft hangars, food process areas, laboratories, clean rooms, pedestrian walkways, warehouses and similar industrial/commercial areas.
We offer water-based and 100% solid epoxies in addition to the traditional solvent-based coatings. Appearances range from smooth, high-gloss finishes to positive non-skid surfaces.
While epoxy coatings offer good to excellent resistance against many chemicals and are easy to clean, urethanes offer better stain resistance. Applications involving exposure to harsh chemicals may require corrosion control systems.
Impact Resistant Floors
If your floors are subjected to a high degree of impact from tools or parts dropping, or from rolling sharp edges, (drums, etc.) then we have a number of innovative solutions.
For extreme conditions such as dropping heavy parts or dragging heavy loads we can install our resin-rich troweled mortar systems from Garland Floor. These super tough floors with relatively thin topcoats will out perform any other type of flooring. In fact we offer systems that have 3 times the strength of concrete!
We are proud to be certified installers of several flexible epoxy systems.
100% solids, chemical resistant, elastomeric epoxies combine the toughness, adhesion, and durability of regular epoxies with the flexibility common to polyurethane elastomers. Flexibility is achieved without the use of plasticizers or other additives which migrate from a material as it ages. Our flexible epoxy coating systems are self-leveling and may be used with fiberglass reinforcing to enhance system properties. These coating systems are recommended for use as a flexible coating and Mechanical Room Flooring Systems.
ADVANTAGES
- Tough, abrasion resistant
- Bridges cracks in concrete structures up to 65 mils
- Retains long-term flexibility due to unique chemistry
- May be installed in occupied facilities (Zero VOC)
- Thermal shock resistance
- Remains flexible at low temperatures
Chemical Resistance & Containment
- Combined Chemical, Temperature, Impact & Abrasion Resistance
- Unsurpassed Chemical Protection
- Complete Floor & Wall Containment Systems
- Seamless Floor-to-Wall Transition
In manufacturing environments exposed to harsh chemicals and/or severe temperatures, a vinyl ester or epoxy novalac product is recommended. Vinyl esters and novalacs are used mainly in the chemical processing industries, environments that require secondary containment or any area where concrete is exposed to chemical attack. Our complete product line of corrosion-control coatings allows us to custom-formulate a solution for you. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction provides you with a system that minimizes your cost while providing unequaled performance.
Thermal Shock Systems
- Complete Floor & Wall Containment Systems
- Seamless Floor-to-Wall Transition
In manufacturing environments exposed to severe temperature changes traditional epoxy systems will de-laminate due to the different expansion and contraction rates from the concrete substrate. Our complete product line of thermal shock systems allows us to custom-formulate a solution for you. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction provides you with a system that minimizes your cost while providing unequaled performance.
We offer urethane-cement systems made specifically for thermal shock environments. These systems are troweled mortars or slurries that are fast setting and can have optional standard non-skid aggregates broadcast into them or you can choose a decorative color quartz non-skid.
Trowel Resurfacing
We have extensive experience installing power troweled epoxy mortar systems. We have installed epoxy resurfacers in many applications where customers were considering replacing the concrete and we were able to provide them with a better performing floor, a quicker turn-around and many times at a lower cost than replacing the concrete!
Common environments for our resurfacers include areas with heavy forklift and steel-wheel cart traffic; areas exposed to abrasion, impact and spills of acids, caustics, solvents, grease, oil and food; wet process areas requiring skid resistance; and clean rooms where dust cannot be tolerated.
Our super heavy-duty flooring systems provide unsurpassed performance. Our resurfacers deliver up to 50% higher abrasion/impact resistance than traditional epoxy resurfacers. From light duty to heavy duty, our resurfacers offer protection and a safer, aesthetically pleasing surface. We offer systems with higher fill ratios for thermal resistance, lower fill ratios for high-wear and chemical resistance, and metallic-filled for excessive wear and impact resistance.

Fast Cure MMA Seamless Epoxy Floors
Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) coatings and systems cure quickly, even in very cold temperatures (to -20°F), resulting in a tough yet flexible surface.
This system meets the most demanding requirements for application in cold interior or exterior environments. Our MMA surface cures in less than one hour per application and is temperature insensitive down to -20°F. This means we can prime and seal a refrigerated warehouse floor without shutting down the facility and its cooling systems. These VOC compliant 100% solids reactive resins and select graded aggregate fillers form a highly versatile flooring solution. These seamless systems can be finished with a variety of slip resistant or smooth textures, and also can be supplied with antimicrobial additive.
- Cures in less than One Hour
- VOC Compliant
- Strong, Flexible, Low Glare Satin Finish
