Commercial Painting in Ipswich - Bringing New Color to a Unique Poolside Project

We were recent­ly asked to paint the inte­ri­or and exte­ri­or a new­ly-added, pool­side sec­tion of a youth and fam­i­ly cen­ter in Ipswich.

Our work didn’t stop there, though…

Just in time for sum­mer, we also paint­ed a very fun aspect of the pool. The process called for spe­cial con­sid­er­a­tions (we’ll dig more into this below), but we know the kids will be thrilled.

Start­ing Indoors — A Clos­er Look at Our Inte­ri­or Paint­ing Work

As you can see in the pho­tos above, we brought a few vibrant, fresh col­ors to the addi­tion. We chose Sher­win-Williams’ Pro­Mar 200 for the task, offer­ing not only a fan­tas­tic fin­ish but also the ben­e­fit of being a fume-free, zero-VOC paint.

For the doors and frames we used a DTM (Direct-to-Met­al) paint, also from Sherwin-Williams.

Div­ing Into the Process of Paint­ing a Water Spinner

Our exte­ri­or work involved fill­ing holes in the sid­ing, then prep­ping and paint­ing all the sur­faces. We chose Sher­win-Williams’ Super Paint for this por­tion of our work. Doesn’t the white trim look fan­tas­tic too against the pri­ma­ry body color?

The high­light of this project, how­ev­er, was paint­ing the Project Adven­ture water spin­ner over the pool. Not only did we apply fun, intri­cate col­ors, but we also chose a glossy, high per­for­mance, high-solids polyurethane coat­ing. This will pro­tect the sur­face from mois­ture and the sum­mer sun, and, most impor­tant­ly, it pro­motes the all-impor­tant fun factor.

Because paint­ing over a pool isn’t exact­ly a straight­for­ward process, we used our lift to help us stay dry, con­tain our work, and cov­er all those hard to reach places.
