Comprehensive Commercial Painting for New Construction in Sutton, MA

Help­ing to turn a con­cept into a reality…

As you may have heard, Price Chop­per super­mar­kets are in the process of being rebrand­ed to fit a fresh new con­cept. This con­cept, called Mar­ket 32, is designed to offer a more inter­ac­tive, mod­ern shop­ping expe­ri­ence. This sys­tem­at­ic, com­pre­hen­sive image recon­struc­tion is being done pri­mar­i­ly through wide­spread remod­el­ing, but there also are two loca­tions being built from the ground up.

We had the priv­i­lege of paint­ing the very first, fresh­ly-mint­ed Mar­ket 32.

Paint­ing New Con­struc­tion, Inside and Out

This excit­ing oppor­tu­ni­ty called for styl­ish, attrac­tive inte­ri­or and exte­ri­or paint. For the exte­ri­or col­or we used Sher­win-Williams’ Super­paint. In addi­tion to being dirt and mildew-resis­tant, this prod­uct also can be applied in near-freez­ing weath­er with per­fect adhesion.

For the inte­ri­or sur­faces we used Sher­win-Williams’ Pro­mar 200 Zero-VOC for the walls, and Pro-Indus­tri­al DTM for the met­al sur­faces, includ­ing door frames, vent hoods, and over­head struc­tures. Uti­liz­ing a more envi­ron­men­tal­ly-friend­ly, odor­less paint like Pro­mar 200 is ide­al for a busy indoor environment.

The ceil­ing was effi­cient­ly cov­ered in an acrylic, latex dry-fall paint from Sher­win-Williams. Com­bined with sur­face prepa­ra­tion and pro­tec­tion, this allowed us to paint the over­head areas with­out risk­ing over­spray on the sur­faces nearby.

Quick­ly Adapt­ing to Col­or and Design Changes

Because some ele­ments of the final col­or and fin­ish were a work in progress, there were numer­ous col­ors that we were asked to change as we went along in order to accom­mo­date updat­ed signs and graph­ics. The scheme need­ed to flow, so we were hap­py to make adjust­ments and changes as needed.
