Our Role in Renovating and Painting an Industrial Warehouse for Tufts University (Part 1)

Posted on Friday, February 13, 2015

Here at Kaloutas Painting, we are all about repurposing. After all, that’s really what interior and exterior commercial painting does! It’s a way to take something that is old and tired, repair it as needed, and then totally transform it with fresh new colors and coatings. It erases the mark of older years, wear, and tear, preparing it to be used again for years to come.

We recently were asked to be a part of an awesome project for Tufts University that accomplishes all of the above. Take a look below to get the details!

Repurposing an Industrial Warehouse for Academic Use

This very cool redevelopment project involves transforming an industrial warehouse, built in the 1920s, into an academic center. Its 95,000 square feet will house such disciplines as Physics and Astronomy, Human Factors Engineering, Occupational Therapy, and more.

Interior Commercial Painting

As we help to breathe fresh, modern style into this historic space, we will be using Sherwin Williams products for all of the regular coatings, and Walltalkers dry-erase wall coverings in the classrooms. Our goal is to provide quality, durable applications that will look fantastic and function just as they need to.

We also will be staining a metal stair tower that serves as the focal point of this project. We are looking forward to showing you how it turns out!

As you can see from the pictures we’ve included, the work is under way! Please stay tuned for a follow-up article that will cover how the work progressed and, of course, pictures of the finished product.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about Kaloutas Painting and our commercial or industrial painting services, please do not hesitate to contact us. It would be our pleasure to help!
