Employee Spotlight: Mike Ward - Foreman

Mike start­ed his career with Kaloutas in Novem­ber of 2007. He has proven him­self with hard work and lead­er­ship skills, mak­ing him a reli­able fore­man since the begin­ning of his employ­ment. Mike is a valu­able, ded­i­cat­ed employ­ee who con­tin­ues to demon­strate pro­fes­sion­al­ism and dili­gence on every jobsite. 

We recent­ly sat down with Mike to get his feed­back on what it’s like to be a Kaloutas employee. 

Q: What do you like most about work­ing for Kaloutas? 

A: I enjoy work­ing with all the peo­ple at Kaloutas. I think that every­one works real­ly well togeth­er and knows the impor­tance of com­mu­ni­ca­tion on a job­site. I enjoy the chal­lenges that come with each project – get­ting things done on time, and com­ing in under bud­get while main­tain­ing qual­i­ty and professionalism. 

Q: What project/​situation have you been most proud of since you start­ed work­ing here? 

A: For a year and a half I worked on a high pro­file project in the bio­phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal indus­try. This job had a vari­ety of spe­cial­ty fin­ish­es such as Gold cer­ti­fied LEED prod­ucts and mul­ti­ple high build epoxy sys­tems that had to be applied with high qual­i­ty in order for the busi­ness to oper­ate prop­er­ly. It was a chal­leng­ing project to com­plete, but we fin­ished suc­cess­ful­ly, and to the cus­tomers sat­is­fac­tion. I was hon­ored to have been giv­en the oppor­tu­ni­ty of being the fore­man on the job.
