New Epoxy Flooring and Interior Paint in Burlington, MA
If you look at the first two photos above, you might feel like you suddenly traveled back in time a couple of decades. To put it lightly, the need for an update in this Burlington church’s function hall was certainly evident.
Taking it a step further than just style, the surfaces were also worn from heavy use. This is, after all, a place where people congregate for different purposes and events throughout the year. Common areas like this one tend to get tired quickly!
Our goal was certainly to add some fresh style to the floors and walls, but also to make product selections that would really last and meet the ongoing and ever-evolving needs of the space.
What Is Epoxy Flooring Used For?
Epoxy flooring is ideal for industrial and commercial facilities. When properly maintained, they last for decades. They can withstand high pressure from commercial equipment, machinery, and foot traffic. Maintenance and cleaning are simple and they provide an aesthetically pleasing appearance giving your customers the impression that you care about your facility and doing business with them.
Epoxy Flooring with Flake Broadcasts — Durability Meets Modern Style
We installed a Florock 100% solids epoxy basecoat with two full macro flake broadcasts. After that we topped off the surface with a Florospardic Zero, high-wear, clear urethane.
Try saying that ten times fast!
In case you aren’t fluent in flooring, this is essentially a well-chosen, high-quality epoxy coating that has a flake broadcast added for an attractive, customized look. Epoxy systems like this are tough as nails, resistant to moisture, and incredibly easy to clean and maintain. In fact, the church specifically said that they are thrilled to no longer need to wax their old tile floor, or clean the portions that used to be covered in carpet. Just an occasional sweep and mop will do the trick!

We also installed a three-coat, solid-color, resinous system throughout the bathrooms, and will be adding another high-performance coating from Florocrete in the kitchen following an equipment update.
Interior Painting
We used a Benjamin Moore eggshell paint for the walls, and a Benjamin Moore semi-gloss on the trim. Both of these options are durable and attractive, but also have the added benefit of being easy to wash and maintain.
Also, isn’t it amazing how much larger the space looks? Lightening the interior colors in a room can have an incredible impact.
