Installing Con­crete Mois­ture Con­trols and an Epoxy Floor System

The goal was to install a tri-coat floor sys­tem from Pro­tec­tive Indus­tri­al Polymers.

To keep their mois­ture trans­mis­sion lev­els in check, we took the fol­low­ing steps:

• Shot blast­ed the floor to a con­crete sur­face pro­file of 4, ensur­ing that the mois­ture mit­i­ga­tion sys­tem would prop­er­ly adhere to the surface.
• In cer­tain areas where stub­born mas­tic need­ed to be removed, we also dia­mond grind­ed the surface.
• We installed a base coat of PIP epoxy.
• The base coat was then topped by a high-wear ure­thane coat. This includ­ed the glass bead anti-slip addi­tive for extra work­place traction.

Our client was thrilled with the end result, and with our project man­age­ment abil­i­ties through­out the process. Beyond floor­ing and wall paint­ing, we also were hap­py to pro­vide the peace of mind that comes from know­ing a poten­tial prob­lem was addressed prop­er­ly and effectively.
